ID Biomedical Corp ID Biomedical is an integrated biotechnology
company dedicated to the development of innovative vaccine products. ID
Biomedical is developing vaccines targeted at the prevention of a number of different
diseases, as well as vaccines targeting biological warfare agents.
The Company's lead products in clinical development are FluINsure™, a non-live
intranasally delivered vaccine for the prevention of
influenza (flu),
StreptAvax™ , a subunit injectable vaccine for the prevention of diseases
caused by group A streptococcus
in children, and PPV™ a subunit injectable vaccine for the prevention
of disease caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus) in children,
at risk adults and the elderly. ID Biomedical currently has two products
on the market in Canada: NEISVAC-C* for meningitis C infection and
FLUVIRAL® , an injectable influenza vaccine. ID Biomedical has a leading
position in the Canadian influenza market. It has received a mandate from the
Government of Canada to assure a state of readiness in the case of an influenza
